March 8 is International Women’s Day and this year Toronto’s premier dining destination, Casa Madera is celebrating throughout the month of March with a new custom cocktail offering, Mujer Poderosa.
Along with the special cocktail offering, Casa Madera will be partnering with Working Women Community Centre and donating $2 from all Mujer Poderosa cocktail sales to this organization, making a difference in the lives of immigrant women and their families in Toronto.

This cocktail was created by Charity Johnson, Casa Madera’s master mixologist.
In 2008, Charity Johnston started working as a hostess and maitre d’ in Los Angeles.
Soon after, she started working as a bartender, combining her passion for hospitality and drinks.
Charity is available to speak to the importance of Casa Madera’s partnership with the Working Women Community Centre and the importance of shining a light on women in the culinary industry, which is historically a male-dominated space.
